Discuss these questions in pairs. 1 Have you ever thought of moving anywhere? 2 Where would you prefer to move if you could choose any place in the world?

1) I have never thought of moving anywhere because I like my city and my country (Я никогда не думала о переезде куда-либо, потому что мне нравится мой город и моя страна).
2) I wouldn’t prefer to move anywhere (Я бы не хотела никуда переезжать).
3) It’s hard to live in a new place with its own culture and traditions. People are also different in different parts of the world (Трудно жить в новом месте, с его культурой и традициями. Люди тоже различны в разных частях мира).
4) I think I would feel lonely. I have some friends who live in the different parts of the world now and they feel homesick, they want to be close to their families and to their friends, but they can’t (Я думаю, я бы чувствовала одиночество. У меня есть друзья, которые живут в различных частях мира сейчас и тоскуют по дому, потому что хотят быть ближе к своим семьям, друзьям, но не могут).
5) I think I would see my hometown differently upon my return from some place because I have already experienced such situation when I went to Germany for a week. When I came back to Russia, it seemed to me for a while that there is more traffic here, and that people are ruder, especially in the underground, but then those thoughts disappeared (Я думаю, я бы взглянула на свой родной город иначе по приезде из другого места, потому что я уже испытывала подобное, когда ездила на неделю в Германию. Когда я вернулась в Россию, мне какое-то время казалось, что здесь больше дорожного движения, что люди грубее, особенно в метро, но вскоре эти мысли исчезли).
