The pilot and the passenger got into the plane. It was a small plane. It had one engine. It was an old plane. The pilot started the engine. "Are you okay?" he asked the passenger. She said she was okay. They were flying to an island. The island was only 30 minutes away. It would be a short flight. She was a nurse. Her husband was a doctor. The doctor was on the island. The doctor needed some medicine. She had the medicine in her bag. The medicine would save a young boy. The young boy was very sick. The plane took off. The engine sounded funny. The pilot frowned. "Is everything okay?" the passenger asked. "I'm afraid not," said the pilot. "There's something wrong with the engine. We have to land." He landed the plane. The nurse got out of the plane. She looked around the airport. She saw another plane. This plane had two engines. She walked over to the plane. "Is this a new plane or an old plane?" she asked the pilot. The pilot said it was a new plane. "Good," she said. "Please take me to the island."

Greetings from Astana! I have just arrived at my hotel, and as promised, I am sending you a postcard. The weather is beautiful out here, as you can imagine, and the touristic places are so inviting. Tonight I am going to a traditional Kazakh restaurant, and tomorrow I am planning to visit different museums. Can you believe that?! Me and museums? I am. Wish you were here!

remember the old days, when  lebron james  had championship aspirations with the  cleveland cavaliers? before  the decision  and before dan gilbert's angry letter written in comic sans?

lebron's dominance was at a level where he actually had people believing that antawn jamison could be the missing piece to a championship team. the akron hammer got mo williams into an all-star game. oh yeah, and by playing with james, anderson varejao is now considered "untouchable." no wonder lebron took his talents to south beach.

anyone who watches the  nba, or even listens to what some of the announcers have to say, can tell you the impact that an elite player can have on his team.

prime example—lebron turned a team full of average role players into a no. 1 seed and title contenders. as soon as he leaves town, they're a team struggling to even compete on a nightly basis, landing the top pick in the nba draft. and as soon as people saw this, we all understood why lebron left.

these special players are at a premium, even in today's superstar league. and with the recent alignment of star players, very few are left on their own the way lebron was in cleveland. one of these players is due for free agency in one year. you may have heard of him:   dwight howard.

howard is an absolute monster on both ends of the floor who is as capable of taking over a game as anyone in the league. opposing teams guard him with at least two players at all times, usually with very little success. teams have resorted to recycling defenders who simply foul d12 in hopes that he won't make his free throws. given the shortage of quality big men in the league, howard's ability is even more valuable considering he gets to exhibit it against many low-quality big men.

my english teacher is very good. she is kind, sweet, smart and beautiful. from her i learned a lot of new things. thanks to her, i know english. she's like a second mother.

in my hometown i have a lot of eco-problems. i think the main problem is air pollution. when air is polluted it changes the climate and damages animals' and our health. when people throw litter in the river they cause the second problem - water pollution. polluted water hurts water animals. when we leave litter in the forests, nature is damaged. a lot of people don't recycle paper, they cut down trees to make new paper. when trees are broken or cut down, birds are disturbed. land, air and water are important for flowers, trees, animals and people. we must protect our planet and try to save it!
