Они могут быть взаимозаменяемыми, но 'attractive' обычно описывает человека, который нравится и имеет большее значение.

'Appealing' мы можем использовать например к еде или сделке.

Здесь же у нас имеется префикс -un, который образовывает слова с противоположным значением => 'не привлекательный'
