topic 1: you are a charitable volunteer in your city and always give a hand to those who are in need: clean the apartments of the disabled people; bring food to animal refuges to feed homeless animals; organise campaigns to raise money and collect toys and clothes for the local orphanages. your new idea is to write a formal letter to the local mayor to ask him/her for any help he/she provide to help your charity organisation. include in your letter the following information:

cat: on average, cats spend 2/3 of every day sleeping.  cats make about 100 different sounds.  a cat can jump up to five times its own height in a single bound.

cow:   a cow can’t produce milk until she has had a calf.  there are about 920 different breeds of cows in the world.  cows can live 25 years.

dog:   a dog, named laika, was the first in space in 1957.  nose prints are used to identify dogs, just like humans use fingerprints. a    dog's smell is estimated at 1 million times better than humans.

hamster:   hamsters can travel about 8 miles in search of food.  hamsters react to their names.  hamsters are color blind.

giraffe:   giraffes drink large quantities of water when it is available enabling them to live for long periods in arid areas. coat of giraffes is made up of brown patches of hair separated by lighter hair. each giraffe has a unique coat pattern.

guinea pigs: guinea pigs are born with fur and with their eyes open.  guinea pigs need to gnaw to wear down their teeth. 

duck:   when ducks quack they have no echo.  some ducks can fly about 332 miles a day.  ducks have webbed feet, which act like paddles.

koala:   koalas sleep for up to 18 hours a day.  koalas very rarely have twins.baby koalas are called ‘joeys’.

rabbit:   rabbits have 28 teeth.  rabbits do not hibernate.  rabbits can jump 36″ and higher.

seahorse:  

seahorses have no teeth and swallow their food whole.  a male seahorse becomes pregnant when a female deposits her eggs into his pouch.  there are approximately 35 known seahorse species.

hedgehog:   hedgehogs are solitary animals.  the average lifespan of a hedgehog is 3.5 years. some hedgehogs can live up to 9 years.  hedgehogs curl into a prickly ball when attacked.

frogs: absorb water through their skin so they don't need to drink.  frogs can lay as many as 4,000 eggs in frogspawn.  the eyes and nose of a frog are on top of its head so it can breathe and see when most of its body is under the water.  frogs need both water and land to live. 

теперь у нее  было своё  мнение, и  за ужином она  обсуждала  с сашинами родителями    трудную школьную   учёба  для  детей.но  в конце концов,  она чувствовала что  классическое образование  было лучше чем  коммерческие  курсы,потому что когда  вы окончите  школу, то  дорога к любой  карьере будет открыта  для вас.  если вы уже выбрали, вы могли бы  стать врачом,  или же,  если  хотите,  вы можете стать  инженером.саша  начал  учёбу  в школе.  когда его отец  был в отъезде,  каждый день  проверял  крупный рогатый скот,иногда  трех дней  в то время,оленьке казалось, что саша  был полностью  потерян,  как будто он был лишним, и возможно  умерают от голода.  таким образом она  переселила его  в свою  часть  дома и  устроила  для него  маленькую комнатку  .каждое утро  оленька  приходила  к нему в комнату  и видела его  крепко спящим,  подложив под  щеку подушку ,  так тихо, что  он, казалось,не  дышит.сашенька,    печально  сказала, вставай, дорогой.  нужно  идти в школу.

он  встал, оделся,  прочил  молитву, потом сел    завтракать.он был ещё сонным.ты не знаешь,басню хорошо,  сашенька,  сказала  оленьке, глядя на него, как будто  провожает в дальнюю дорогу
