When I was young, I never realised how my childhood was different to those of my friends. But I do now. Their dads all  in the UK but mine always /worked/ abroad. As a child, I //  very happy and I didn’t mind the fact that Dad // always at home. In fact, I // use to think about it very much. We never //  to see him for months but when we //  school holidays or a long weekend, my mum, my sister and I //  always go and stay with him. I //  to love visiting him and I clearly remember all the countries he worked in. As a child, I //  a lot of countries and I loved them all. Every time we went to see Dad, it //  be an adventure because we always //  out about a new place.

When  I was young I used to love visiting my grandparents at their cottage by the sea. I couldn''t wait for the school year to end. My father would me to the cottage, where I loved staying for the whole summer.

I looked forward to going fishing with my grandfather. Most days we managed to catch a lot of fish but we wouldthrow them all back into the water. Then we would swim in the clear blue sea. My grandmother loved cooking for us. I remember baking chocolate chip biscuit with her.She always let me 11eat a biscuit as soon as they came out of the ove. I can still taste them now, melting in my mouth! I''ll never forget spending those wonderful summers with my grandparents. I will always .keep the memory of them close to my heart.
