My favorite subject is English. I think it’s essential for people to know a language which is so widely used and is considered universal. Nowadays it’s close to impossible to get a job without knowing this language. Due to Great Britain having countless colonies in the past, English is used all over the world. It’s estimated that about 1.5 billion speak English. For many people it’s their first language, some had learned it over time being abroad or in school.
