Летние каникулы закончились. зима с ее снегом здесь, и как далеко от сегодняшнего дня до нового года? подумайте о подарках и открытках. подумайте о рождественских елках. это не займёт у вас много времени, если вы   побываете там в своих снах. ветрено и холодно. жизнь скучна, и не весела. и сколько времени займет наш полет от снега к солнцу? ты будешь в порядке. солнце будет светить, там не будет снега или дождя. это не займет много времени, если вы отправитесь туда на самолете. мы не нашли самолет, мы взяли большой воздушный шар. и сколько времени займет наш полет  от земли до луны? идите вместе, идите вместе. не забудьте спеть эту песню, если вы не ходите в одиночку. это никогда не будет занимать у вас слишком много времени.

unfortunately this year i ended up spending new year's eve hauled up in the warehouse where i work, unpacking products to be shelved and sorting out where to put them.

how sad it is, that work should continue to dictate the way we live. without money we are helpless. i spent last new year's eve in an undoubtedly better fashion. my wife and i invited round not only our nearest and dearest, but some of the neighbours too. jean from number 56 even bought her cream labrador round. the kids loved it!

  and so the evening began, just like many other's around england, a table laden with cheap booze and nibbles, serviettes and paper plates, fizzy drinks for the kids and the best quality bucks fizz for the mother-in-law. out on the cold lawn in the back garden lay my pitiful display of discount fireworks, ready to be let off at 12 on the dot.  we had music on the cd player, provided by my fashion conscious daughters and the beeb's hogmanay coverage on standby.  new year's is a funny little celebration, soo much more important abroad. it marks the end of the year, a chance to look back on one's achievements with pride, whilst at the same time a warning bell sounds and you look out in dread at the calendar and realise how little time you have to start those new year's resolutions and miserably fail them. the humiliation!   i have always wanted to pop over to scotland and see how they really celebrate it there. i could do with a bite of haggis and some jolly bag pipes playing in my ear.   alas, i don't see it on the cards, not until such time as the boss lets me have another bank holiday off work.  

я хочу рассказать как я встретила 2012 новый год. сначала мы с мамой украсили праздничный стол: красивая красная скатерть на ней еловые шишки и зеленые свечи. в высоких хрустальных вазах красовались мандарины и апельсины. папа настоящую елку и запах хвои был по всему дому. часы пробили 12 и свершилось чудо. дед мороз (а я знаю что это мама и папа) подарил мне мою мечту. путевку в дисней ленд. потом был взрыв фейерверка и звон шампанского. и все зимние каникулы я провела в дисней ленде. но сказка иногда кончается и я снова с вами на школьных занятиях.

guys  i  want to tell you  how  i met the  new year  2012.  at first  my mother and idecorated the  holiday table:   a beautiful red  cloth on  her  fir  cones  and green  candles.in the high  crystal  vase  adorned with  tangerines  and  oranges.  dad  brought  a realchristmas tree  and the smell  of pine needles  was  around the house.  the clock struck12 and  a miracle happened.  santa claus  (and i  know it's  mom  and  dad)  gave me  my dream.  a ticket to  disney  land.  then there was the  explosion  of fireworks and  the sound of  champagne.  and  all the  winter holidays  i spent  in  disney land.  but the  storysometimes  ends  and i'm  with you again  at  school.
